Lounge Suite
What to Look for in a Leather Lounge Suite ?
Your lounge room and its contents will say a lot about your personal sense of style, as well as the degree of comfort you wish to wrap your guests in. And if you choose to go with a lounge suite and you choose one made from good leather, then you could give your guests a feeling of comfortable luxury.
Leather lounge suites come in a variety of styles and designs, so you won’t run out of choices. Just be sure to keep a few of these important characteristics in mind, while considering your picks.
1. Find out if the leather used in the suite is genuine or artificial.
There are after all, different kinds of leather used by companies in the manufacturing process of their furniture. Ideally, you should choose a suite which was crafted using genuine leather. While artificial leather will, of course, cost less, it has disadvantages. At times, it can look like a much cheaper material, detracting from the aesthetic of your lounge. Some types are stiffer than genuine leather, making the sitting experience less comfortable.
In addition, artificial leather can be less porous so that it doesn’t breathe as easily, which could allow the perspiration of persons to accumulate on the surface of the suite. Also, some types can be more difficult to clean. While genuine leather is more expensive, with proper care, it can last longer, sometimes much longer, and it tends to look more luxurious.
2. Find out what kind of leather was used to create the suite.
It can sometimes be difficult to distinguish between the different grades of leather which may go into the manufacturing process. And sometimes, there are manufacturers who use misleading labels or descriptions. So verify this well. Find out what leather grade was used.
Full grain leather is graded at the highest quality. It tends to feel really soft, as opposed to some of the lesser grades which can be stiffer. You’ll usually be able to detect a fairly strong leather smell, so take this into consideration as well in case you’re not into that sort of thing. Other lesser grades include top grain, split grain and bonded leather. Again, make sure you verify what exactly went into the particular lounge suite that you’re considering.
3. Ask if a guarantee is provided.
If the manufacturer has a lot of faith in the durability of its products, it’s more possible that a guarantee will be given to buyers. Find out if such a guarantee is given, and whether it’s offered in relation to just the frame or the entire sofa, or something in between.
Once these criteria are verified, you can be sure that the leather lounge suite you are purchasing is a great deal. So even if it costs a little bit too much, it really deserves the price.
